Getting started with Chat

  1. Open the Chat tab from the top navigation.
  2. Type your question in the text box at the bottom and press Send or hit Enter.
  3. Wurksy will respond with bullet-point guidance tailored to your assignment brief.
  4. Keep asking follow-up questions to explore different angles of the topic.
  5. Your prompt count is shown top-right — each question uses one prompt from your allocation.

Using the Lectures tab

  1. Go to the Lectures tab.
  2. Click Choose File and select a PDF of your lecture slides, then click Upload.
  3. Once processed, the slides will appear in the viewer on the left.
  4. Type a question about the slides in the box on the right (e.g. "What is the main argument on slide 4?") and click Ask.
  5. Use the Summarise button to get a concise overview of the entire lecture.

Finding sources in Research

  1. Open the Research tab.
  2. Enter a topic or keyword (e.g. "enzyme kinetics") in the search bar and press Enter or click Search.
  3. Browse results from multiple academic databases. Click a paper to view details and access the PDF where available.
  4. Click Cite on any result to generate a formatted reference in your chosen citation style.
  5. Copy citations directly into your assignment or export your full reference list.

Writing with the in-platform editor

  1. Your assignment editor appears in the right panel on the Chat page. Click Full screen for a distraction-free view.
  2. Use Upload Template to import a DOCX or PDF template — the content will appear editable in the editor.
  3. Upload your rubric PDF using the rubric button, then click Review against rubric to get AI feedback on your draft.
  4. When you are done, click Submit to lock your session and generate your AI Index audit trail.
Tip: Wurksy AI follows your institution's academic integrity policy. It will guide and explain but will not write your essay, paraphrase text for submission, or fabricate citations. Use it as a study partner, not a ghostwriter.
